PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens barrel such that unnecessary static pressure is not applied to the lens group at the tail by a photographer when a lens (e.g., a four-group zoom lens generally used for video photography) whose lens group at the tail is movable along the optical axis is used as an interchangeable lens. SOLUTION: The lens barrel which can be unmounted from a camera body is equipped with a fixed barrel, the lens group at the tail which is stored in the fixed barrel, a stepping motor, a 1st screw part provided to the output shaft of the stepping motor, a driving means which is provided to a frame holding the lens group at the tail and drives the lens group at the tail along the optical axis by using a 2nd screw part engaging with the 1st screw part, and a transparent plate which is arranged on the camera body side about the lens group at the tail and fixed to the fixed barrel.
