PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin discriminating device for stably discriminating coins even when the coins or its path is stained. SOLUTION: When a coin 36 inputted to an input port 21 passes discrimination sensors 27, 28 and 29, the duration time of material quality sensor output 67 when the coin passes the material quality sensor 28 which detects the quality of materials among the discrimination sensors 27, 28 and 29 is normalized by using the sum of the time of front end points 61a, 62a and 63a and the time of the rear end points 61b and 62b of the plurality of discrimination sensors 27 and 29 including the material quality sensor 28 so that the outer dimension of the inputted coin 36 can be discriminated.
