PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the local insufficiency of liquid developer on a holding roller. SOLUTION: In the liquid developing device, a supply roller is positioned in either the 3rd quadrant or the 4th quadrant and an amount regulating member is positioned in a quadrant on the vertical upside of the quadrant where the supply roller is positioned out of four quadrants demarcated by a 1st coordinate axis passing through the center of the holding roller and directed vertically upward and a 2nd coordinate axis passing through the center of the holding roller and directed horizontally from the left side to the right side of the 1st coordinate axis. The direction of the holding roller rotation is a direction passing from the quadrant where the supply roller is positioned to the quadrant where the amount regulating member is positioned, and the direction of the supply roller rotation is in the same direction as the direction of the holding roller rotation.
