PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate fin type heat exchanger, comprising a junction part, capable of achieving high reliability at a high temperature, and reducing stress concentration. SOLUTION: This plate fin type heat exchanger 10 comprises a low-temperature fluid passage 4, and a high-temperature fluid passage 5. It is provided with fins 2 of wavy form with top parts 8 that are round, and a plate 1 having recessed parts 7 to be engaged with the top parts 8 of the fins 2. The top parts 8 of the fins 2 and the recessed parts 7 of the plate 1 are jointed with each other by diffusion-junction. By forming fillet parts 11 corresponding to fillets formed at the time of brazing-junction close to the recessed parts 7, durability reliability is further improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
