PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent splash of viscous fluid due to a shock by preventing leakage thereof caused by expansion of residual air. SOLUTION: This bearing unit is provided with a shaft 31, a radial bearing 33 for supporting the shaft 31 in the circumferential direction, a thrust bearing 46 for supporting one end of the shaft 31 in the thrust direction, a passage forming member 34 provided outside the radial bearing 33 and the thrust bearing 46, a housing 37 housing the passage forming member 34 inside thereof and formed into a sealed structure except a shaft insert hole 41 wherein the shaft 31 is to be inserted, lubricating oil 42 filled inside the housing 37, a communication passage 50 formed between the passage forming member 34 and the radial bearing 33 to communicate thrust directional one end of the shaft 31 projected from the radial bearing 33 with the other end thereof.
