PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving system of a motor-driven compressor, reduced in cost, size and weight. SOLUTION: This driving system of a motor-driven compressor includes: a power generator for generating at least a first AC output by the power at least from an internal combustion engine 1; a converter 4 and a first inverter 5 for converting the first AC output to be supplied to the motor-driven compressor 6; a power transmission mechanism 2 for controlling the supply of power to the power generator 6; a second converter 7 for controlling the direct or indirect supply of power at least from a capacitor device 7 to the motor-driven compressor 6; and a control part 10 for controlling the operation of at least the power transmission mechanism 6 and the second converter 7.
