PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of a failure due to the decomposition of garbage. SOLUTION: This apparatus decides whether or not an in-cycle accumulating total amount stored by accumulating the charge of the garbage 32 charged within a decomposition cycle (a day) is within a regulated charge quantity (more specifically a regulated weight) (S 4), and when the charge reaches the regulated charge quantity, the apparatus displays and warns the excess of the regulated charge on a display 55 and sounds a speaker 56 to emit an accident warning (S 5). As a result, the charging of the garbage 32 in excess of regulated charge that can be subjected to the decomposition treatment in the decomposition cycle of one time can be prevented.
