The solar collector has a reflector (1) for reflecting incoming rays and directing the reflected radiation in a focal plane (2). An absorber (3) in the focal plane absorbs the radiation to convert it into absorption heat. A heat carrier fluid (4) which flows through the absorber to absorb the absorption heat is stirred up through a vortex device (5) which has profiling on at least some areas of the inside wall of the absorber.
