Heat-stable, colored security tape (A) that is (a) made of woven textile filaments composed of chemical fibers (B) of natural, polymeric inorganic origin (silicon compounds) and/or natural inorganic fibers, and (b) includes some polymeric filaments. Heat-stable, colored security tape (A) that is made of woven textile filaments composed of chemical fibers (B) of natural, polymeric inorganic origin (silicon compounds) and/or natural inorganic fibers, and, the new feature, includes some filaments of synthetic polymer (P) in one or both edges to minimize breakage of weft fibers in the edge regions. These filaments comprise one or more of aramide; poly(fluoroethylene), polyimide; poly(terephthaloyl-oxalamidrazone); polyoxadiazole; polybenzoxazole; polybenzimidazole; polybenzthiazole; polyurea; phenol-formaldehyde fibers; poly(phenylene sulfide) or poly(aminotriazole) and they include the required color as a result of printing, dyeing or other methods of coloring.
