Anti-slip area, created of textured material at shaft of walking stick or crutch

A walking stick (1) or a pair of crutches not in use temporarily have to be leaned or hung to a rail or a wall, frequently resulting in the item (1) to slip to the ground. The person dependent on the walking aid (1) is in most cases not able to pick the crutch up again without the assistance of a second person. An anti-slip area (3, 4) designed as a rubber or plastic cover partially surrounding the shaft of the stick (1) or crutch prevents the item (1) from falling. The cover (3, 4) can be ribbed or porous and additionally provided with a fluorescent area (5).
