An image reading apparatus and an X-ray imaging apparatus are provided to reduce noise components in a sensed image by synchronizing reading and writing operations with a reference clock. An X-ray imaging apparatus includes a photodetector array(58), a driver(62), a line selector(92), an analog multiplexer(110), an A/D converter(112), and a DC/DC power supply(902). A signal is received from a photodetector array(58). A timing signal generating unit(901) outputs signals on the basis of instructions from the driver(62). The timing signal generating unit(901) generates various kinds of timing signals by frequency-dividing a high-frequency master clock. The DC/DC power supply(902) converts an input voltage from the AC/DC power supply into output voltages, and outputs the converted output voltages. |
