<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify pages of printed matter easily by conduct insertion processing of both interleaf and index papers into normal printing paper. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer 3000 sets printing processing to normal printing paper and sets an insertion position for both the interleaf and the index papers, in relation to the normal printing paper. The set contents are transmitted to a printer 3001.
