<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system 10 capable of safely performing the start, stop, and maintenance of the same without the provision of a nitrogen supplying device or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 10, equipped with a fuel reforming system 2 for generating hydrogen-rich fuel gas by reforming raw fuel, and a fuel cell main body 1 for generating electric power by making the hydrogen in the fuel gas supplied from the fuel reforming system 2 react with the oxygen in the air, comprises an inlet switching device 7 controlling the inflow of the raw fuel in the reforming system 2, an outlet switching device 8 for controlling the outflow of the raw fuel from the reforming system 2, and a control part 6 for switching the inlet switching device 7 and the outlet switching device 8 when stopping the fuel cell system 10. A safety is secured by shutting the fuel gas remained in the fuel reforming system 2 up in the fuel reforming system 2 when stopping the fuel cell system 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
