<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passive optical communication network of a code split multiplex system using an error correction code which increases a transmission rate of ONU and increases the number of a subscriber device capable of being coupled to a single star network. <P>SOLUTION: A passive optical subscriber network (passive optical network : PON) of the code split multiplex system includes a central base station 200 and a lot of ONUs (Optical Network Unit) 100, assigns one PN ( pseudo-noise) code to each ONU, and transmits an optical signal modulated by using the PN code when a data between the central base station and the ONU is sent and received. The ONU 100 inserts and transmits the error correction code into an upward signal when the upward signal applied by the code split multiplexing is transmitted, and controls a frequency of the upward signal by using a response to the error correction code transmitted from the central base station. The central base station 200 receives the transmission of the upward signal applied by the code split multiplexing, modulates it, and transmits an error count of the error correction code included in the upward signal to a downward signal to the ONU 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
