ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE, ITS STEPPING COMPENSATION METHOD, AND RECORDING TIME CORRECTION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of evading a time jumping phenomenon generated before and after correction by a conventional time correction method for correcting display forcibly to a received standard time, so as to keep an output time in prescribed precision all the time, and allowing execution without requiring a complicated mechanism even when applied for an analogue type hand-display of electronic timepiece.

SOLUTION: This electronic timepiece is provided with a clock signal generating means for generating a clock signal for going faster and two kinds of clocks delaying more than the standard time, a clocking means for outputting a time based on the clock signal generated by the clock signal generating means, a standard time information acquiring means for acquiring standard time generated in an outside, an error detecting means for detecting the going faster/the delaying with respect to the standard time of the time output from the clocking means when acquiring the standard time by the standard time information acquiring means, and a clock period selecting means for switching-selecting a clock along a direction negating an error in response to a detected result by the error detecting means.
