<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type of food items from beans and provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The food items comprise bacteriologically sealed and sterilized beans and mushroom mycelia propagated from the mycelia inoculated to the sterilized beans. In the method for producing food items, beans are allowed to absorb water, sterilized and bacteriologically sealed and inoculated with mushroom mycelia to propagate the mycelia. This invention provides a new type of food items including edible mushroom mycelia and beans.
