<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens array which can converge incident light from a light source without causing loss and which can constitute a high contrast liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: Between a TFT substrate 32 and the opposing substrate 33, there is held a twisted nematic type liquid crystal 34. In the opposing substrate 33, a micro lens array 46 is formed, with each constituent micro lens 47 given a rotary aspheric surface, and with the optical center axis F tilted in the clear vision direction of the liquid crystal 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
