PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH CONSTITUTIONAL COMPONENT CONTAINING HIGH TRANS RANDOM ISOPRENE-BUTADIENE RUBBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire with at least one constitutional component having a desirable balance among various properties such as abrasion resistance and tear strength. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire comprises at least one constitutional component containing a vulcanizable rubber composition containing high trans random isoprene-butadiene rubber (IBR) whose isoprene content is low. The vulcanizable rubber composition comprises a high trans random IBR of about 30-100 phr based on 100 parts by weight of the elastomer (phr), and at least one other additional elastomer of about 0-70 phr. The high trans random IBR comprises about 3- about 12 wt.% of isoprene. The cured material of the vulcanizable rubber composition has an excellent tear strength and an excellent raw pressure-sensitive adhesiveness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
