PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method for working a molding mold for a light guide plate 1 by which the light guide plate 1 designed to enhance brightness is molded in resin and a working device using this working method. SOLUTION: In this working method, first, a mold material 8 is attached to an attachment means A for the mold material 8 at the working device of a molding mold for the light guide plate. Next, the attached mold material 8 is worked under pressure by a pressing means B of the working device in such a state that a working tool 9, corresponding to the shape of a quadripyramidal projecting part 3, which is mounted on the light guide plate 1 is vibrated. Consequently, a recessed part 10 corresponding to the shape of the quadripyramidal projecting part 3 is formed in the mold material 8. After that, the light guide plate 1 with the quadripyramidal projecting part 3 is molded of resin using the molding mold for the light guide plate having the recessed part 10.
