PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine improving the durability by greatly improving the sliding performance and abrasion resistance between relatively operating a first member and a second member. SOLUTION: This sewing machine is so constituted that a DLC film is formed on the surface of a thread take-up shaft 24, or the first member, and an aluminum bush 33 is press-fitted and fixed in a bearing hole 31 of a thread take-up bearing 26, or the second member, for supporting the thread take-up shaft 24. The thread take-up shaft 24 is applied with grease, and the grease is formed by using DOS (dioctyl sebacate), or synthetic oil, as base oil, 16 wt.% of Li soap as thickener, and 5 wt.% of ZnDTp (zinc dithiophosphates) and MoDTC (molybdenum dithiocarbamate) as additives.
