SEALING PLATE AND SEALED BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery equipped with a valve accurately working in response to set working pressure. SOLUTION: This sealed battery 1 is equipped with: a case 2 having an opening 2a; and this sealing plate 3 for forming a part of an outer shell along with the case 2 by closing the opening 2a. The sealing plate 3 is equipped with: a plate part 4 jointed to the case 2 in a circumferential part 4a; the valve 5 formed thinner than the thickness of the plate part 4 at a part of the plate part 4 and having curved parts 5b curved in the plate thickness direction; and a groove 6 continuously extended from the circumferential edges 5a of the valve 5 to at least one position separating the curved parts 5b.
