PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium where transition noise caused by the disturbance of a magnetization transition area due to strong intergranular magnetic interaction is reduced, and to provide a magnetic storage device thereof. SOLUTION: In the magnetic recording medium, a seed layer composed of an alloy mainly composed of Co, a platinum group, and B is on a nonmagnetic substrate, and a magnetic film composed of an alternately laminated film obtained by alternately laminating Co and the platinum group is formed on the seed layer.
