PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To favorably perform the transfer of the information of a magnetic recording medium by positioning the medium for a holder extremely easily and holding it without increasing a manufacturing cost of a device and complexing it. SOLUTION: This master carrier is for magnetic transfer in which a magnetic recording medium 39 receiving transfer and held at at least one side of pressing insides a one-side holder 33 and the other side holder 35 attached so as to be able to approach, separate, and move, approaches the one-side holder 33 and the other side holder 35 attached at the inside, thereby the magnetic recording medium 39 is pressed and adhered closely, and a soft elastic buffer material 21 is held at the rear side pressing plane 10a of an opposite side to the magnetic recording medium 39.
