PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of preventing stain in printing from occurring by prevent a label temporarily adhering to a label continuous body and an ink ribbon from scraping against each other in the back-feeding. SOLUTION: A gap between a fitting section formed on a shaft of a platen roller 5 and a hole to be fitted formed on a center of a pulley for the platen roller acts as a rotation delaying mechanism. In the back-feeding, a ribbon winding shaft 7 starts the rotation prior to the platen roller 5 and the ink ribbon 1 positioned between the ribbon winding shaft 7 and the platen roller 5 is momentary in the relaxed condition so that the ink ribbon 1 can follow the back-feeding of the label continuous body 2 without receiving the load.
