PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that alcohols such as ethanol and isopropyl alcohol are stored and condensed by being absorbed by an absorbent of a deodorization body in the case that they are present at all times, they are released by highly humid air blown into the deodorization body for instance and air containing the alcohol of high concentration is filled in a room. SOLUTION: This deodorizer comprises the deodorization body provided with the absorbent having a chemisorption function and the absorbent having a physisorption function at least for hydrogen sulfide under high humidity and a blowing means for blowing the air to the deodorization body, a hydrophilicizing treatment is executed to the absorbent 11 having the chemisorption function, and water is absorbed by a hydrophilic group on the surface of the absorbent beforehand. Thus, since the absorption of the alcohols is obstructed, they are not condensed and discharged, and combined odors generated when nursing a bedridden person and at the time of easing nature, or the like, in a hospital or an elder care facility, or the like, are removed.
