NOVEL MICROORGANISM AND METHOD OF TREATING ORGANIC SOLID MATTERS WITH THE USE OF THE MICROORGANISM

It is intended to provide a novel microorganism having an excellent ability to solubilize various organic solid matters, for example, biological sludge including fresh sludge and excessive sludge discharged from a sewage treatme nt process such as a sewage farm or a human waste treatment plant or organic sludge discharged from a production process or a waste treatment process of a food plant, a chemical plant, etc. Namely, a novel microorganism belonging t o the genus Geobacilluscharacterized by being capable of producing a solubilization enzyme by which organic solid matters such as organic sludge or biological sludge can be solubilized.
