<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sales server or the like which can request procuration of settlement of accounts to the servers for settlement of accounts of electronic money. <P>SOLUTION: The sales server 3 sells a ticket at a sales site. An electronic money card 9 is connected, through a reader writer 8, to a customer terminal 2 to allow access from a network. A customer accesses the sales site from the customer terminal 2 to apply for the purchase of the ticket. The sales server 3 obtains a card ID from the electronic money card 9. The sales server 3 transmits a charge for the settlement of accounts and the card ID to a server 4 for the settlement of accounts and requests the procuration of the settlement of accounts. The customer accesses the site for the settlement of accounts of the server 4 from the customer terminal 2 for the settlement of accounts. The server 4 reads the card ID from the electronic money card 9 and checks the card ID against information received from the sales server 3 to specify the amount of money for the settlement of accounts.
