<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transfer control apparatus which applies discard judgment processing to packets transferred to an output port from each of a plurality of input ports. <P>SOLUTION: Transmission means 12a to 12d corresponding to output ports 20a to 20d have packet containing means 103a to 103d for containing packets transmitted from reception means 101a to 101d corresponding to input ports 10a to 10d. The packet containing means 103a to 103d have data storage means 105a to 105d for storing packets supplied from the reception means and discard judgment means 106a to 106d, respectively, and the discard judgment means receive a notice of the amount of contained data in the data storage means to determine whether the data storage means store or discard the succeeding packet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
