PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file management system, a file generation device, a file acquisition device, an authentication device and a program to specify the generation origin of an electronic file. SOLUTION: An authentication ID embedded part 14 of a file generation device 1 embeds, in an electronic file generated by a file generation part 13, unique authentication ID and authentication device ID to collate the generation origin of the electronic file with an authentication device 2. The authentication device 2 is provided with an authentication ID issuing part 21 which issues the authentication ID and the authentication device ID and a personal information query response part 24 which acquires personal information corresponding to the authentication ID transmitted from the file acquisition device 3 from a personal information database 22, and returns it to the file acquisition device 3. The file acquisition device 3 is provided with an authentication ID extraction part 33 which extracts the authentication ID and the authentication device ID from the electronic file and a personal information collating part 34 which queries the generation origin of the electronic file with the authentication device 2 based on the authentication ID and the authentication device ID.
