PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor machine for an air conditioner having high heat radiation effect and capable of suppressing noise. SOLUTION: This outdoor machine for the air conditioner is provided with an outdoor machine casing 5, a blowing fan 38, and an electric part box 43. The inside of the outdoor machine casing 5 is divided into a machine chamber S1 and a ventilation chamber S2, which is provided from a first space S3 on a side of the machine chamber S1 over a second space S4 behind the machine chamber S1. The blowing fan 38 is arranged in the first space S3 of the ventilation chamber S2. The electric part box 43 has a heat radiating fin 83 protruding into the second space S4 of the ventilation chamber S2 from the machine chamber S1. The electric part box 43 is arranged in such a way that the heat radiating fin 83 does not protrude into a space just above the blowing fan 38 and a space just above a space behind the blowing fan 38.
