PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium which can record and reproduce information with high density by reducing the noise of the magnetic recording medium containing a rare earth-transition metal amorphous alloy, and its manufacturing method and a magnetic recording device thereof. SOLUTION: A magnetic recording medium 1 has at least a growth control film 3 formed on a substrate 2 directly or via the other thin film and a magnetic film 4 formed on the growth control film. The magnetic film 4 comprises an amorphous particle grown toward the normal direction of a substrate with a columnar shape and a grain boundary area surrounding the side of the amorphous particle. The amorphous particle is a magnetic material comprising an alloy of which the major component is a rare earth metal and a transition metal.
