PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terrestrial magnetic sensor which detects the magnetic dip of a current position by performing repeated procedure of comparison with an optional estimation of a standard magnetic dip and a comparison magnetic dip. SOLUTION: The terrestrial magnetic sensor comprises a body a rotation angle measurement part measuring a pitch angle and a roll angle of the body, using an index as a standard; a terrestrial magnetism measuring module which outputs a predetermined electrical signal, corresponding to the terrestrial magnetism; a memory which stores an output value of the terrestrial magnetism measuring module, corresponding to a change of the pitch angle and the roll angle and a predetermined standard azimuthal angle; and a controller which calculates the azimuthal angle, using the output value of the terrestrial magnetic measuring module, the pitch angle and the roll angle and the predetermined magnetic dip. The controller can detect the magnetic dip with a method, with which the magnetic dip having fewer azimuthal angle error is determined as the current magnetic dip, by comparing it with the standard azimuthal angle, after setting at least two magnetic dips and calculating the azimuthal angles on each magnetic dip.
