PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting torque so that the magnetic characteristics of a permanent magnet are not varied; detection characteristics are stable; and dispersion in detecting characteristics for each article is not produced by each product. SOLUTION: The device for detecting torque includes a first shaft 1 and a second shaft 2 coaxially coupled by a coupling shaft 3; a permanent magnet 5 fixed to the predetermined location of the first shaft 1; a plurality of soft magnetic materials 4a, 4b that is fixed to the second shaft 2 and arranged in the magnetic field of the permanent magnet 5, forming a magnetic circuit; and a detector 6 for detecting magnetic fluxes generated in the soft magnetic materials 4a, 4b. Therein, when torque is applied to the first shaft 1 and second shaft 2, the torque is detected, based on the output of the detector 6. The permanent magnet 5 is molded by a synthetic resin, having the construction such that slippage prevention is formed at the predetermined location of the first shaft 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
