PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser scanning type fluorescence microscope simple to operate and capable of exciting and detecting at least three fluorescent coloring matters by one measurement. SOLUTION: The laser scanning type fluorescence microscope has a laser light source part 1 and a detection part for detecting fluorescence emitted from a specimen 8 irradiated with the light from the laser light source part 1. The laser light source part 1 is constituted of one ultrashort pulse laser for allowing the specimen 8 to emit fluorescence by two-photon excitation. The detection part has a plurality of detectors 7<SB>1</SB>-7<SB>n</SB>corresponding to respective fluorescences so as to detect at least three fluorescences different in wavelength in the fluorescence emitted from the specimen 8 by two-photon excitation.
