摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet observation method and a droplet observation device which observe accurately and with a simple constitution a droplet discharged from a nozzle hole of a droplet discharge head and flying. SOLUTION: This droplet observation device 1 for observing the droplet 200 discharged from the nozzle hole 101 of the droplet discharge head 100 and flying is equipped with: an illumination light irradiation means 2 for irradiating the droplet 200 with illumination light 23; a camera 4 for photographing the image of the droplet 200; a moving means 3 for moving the camera 4 in the same direction as the flying direction of the droplet 200; and a control means 6 for controlling operation of the droplet discharge head 100, an illumination light irradiation timing of the illumination light irradiation means 2, a photographing timing of the camera 4, and operation of the moving means 3. While moving the camera 4 following the flying droplet 200 by the operation of the moving means 3, the droplet 200 is irradiated with the illumination light 23 by the illumination light irradiation means 2, and the image of the illuminated droplet 200 is photographed by the camera 4, and the droplet 200 is observed based on the photographed image.
