PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam generator capable of efficiently peeling off, crushing, and discharging scale generated in an evaporation vessel. SOLUTION: In this steam generator 10 provided with the cylindrical evaporation vessel 1, a heating source 2 provided on an outer side of the evaporation vessel 1, and a vibration body 5 inserted into the evaporation vessel 1 and vibrating in accordance with generation of steam, an outer profile shape of the vibration body 5 is formed into such shape that is along an inner face of a side wall of the evaporation vessel 1.
