PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for stabilizing an external preparation used for skins and containing an ingredient which is liable to be faded or colored with light, such as ascorbic acid, ascorbic acid derivatives, hydroquinone glycosides, tranexamic acid, 4-methoxysalicylic acid or their salts. SOLUTION: This external preparation for the skins is characterized by comprising (1) polymethacryloyloxyethoxyphosphorylcholine and (2) one or more compounds selected from ascorbic acid, ascorbic acid derivatives, hydroquinone glycosides, tranexamic acid, 4-methoxysalicylic acid or their salts. The content of the polymethacryloyloxyethoxyphosphorylcholine is preferably 0.01 to 2 wt.%, more preferably 0.02 to 1 wt.%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
