PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device for preventing excessively increased pressure on a wheel cylinder as a result of the inertial rotation of a pump upon starting holding during ABS control. SOLUTION: The brake control device comprises an excessively increased pressure preventing means for preventing pressure generated by the inertial rotation of a pump motor from acting on the wheel cylinder upon starting holding control at least during ABS control.
