PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular shifting operation device having no trouble in resetting a manual transmission mode added to an automatic transmission mode for an automatic transmission vehicle into the automatic transmission mode by preventing the process of shifting not intended by a driver due to stones flying from a road surface or a failure of shifting intended by the driver due to bitten foreign matters. SOLUTION: When a shift lever 2 is operated further from a D-position to an A1 direction, the shift lever 2 is turned again around an axis O2 of a rotating shaft 22 and changed over and held into the manual transmission mode with the effect of a holding part. At this time, the effect of a locking part (a locking arm 25 and a locking plate 62) is cancelled and the shift lever 2 can be independently turned around the axis O1 relative to a link arm 6. A pressing face 26a of a pressing part 26 holds an engaging part (an engaging hole 54, a lock pin 63 and a compression coil spring 64) pressed, and so the link arm 6 is locked to a fixed shaft 51.
