DECISION-MAKING SUPPORT SYSTEM AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decision-making support system capable of objectively evaluating evaluation criteria and having the decisions made reflect the values of a decision maker.

SOLUTION: The decision-making support system 60 sets alternative plans based on such conditions as those for problem solution presented by a decision maker 50, preset scientific judgment, and legal restrictions. The weight of evaluation criteria and utility functions all of which reflect the values of the decision maker 50 are used to evaluate the relative merits of the alternative plans in such a way that the evaluation reflects experts' experiential judgment and mathematical model analysis. The decision-making support system 60 proposes the alternative plans to the decision maker 50 according to the relative merits of the alternative plans.
