PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing technique that can speed up rotational processing when executing rotational transformation of an image over a slight angle. SOLUTION: A photography system can photograph a subject such as a document placed to input an image. If the input image is tilted at a slight angle, with a rotation table stored in a ROM in the photography system, the image is subjected to rotational transformation. The rotation table, for example, transforms an L-shaped pattern B1 positioned in the upper left of the image spaced from the origin O into a pattern B3 as changing the coordinate positions thereof, and transforms a linear pattern B2 positioned in the lower left of the image near the origin O into a pattern B4 as keeping the coordinate positions thereof intact.
