PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a slide valve for extracting a powder and granular material from a powder-and-granular-material storage or production facility like a tank, a silo and a hopper to the downstream side, such that a sliding defect of a slide valve plate due to biting and pushing of the powder and granular material and a full-close failure due to groove plugging cause production facility shutdown or loading period extension. SOLUTION: A space is formed between a slide valve plate holding guide rail and a frame, and the side surface lower portion of the slide valve plate holding guide rail is cut and disposed in a stepping-stone form.
