PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing material cleaning device and a printing material cleaning method capable of improving the printing quality and the printing efficiency by effectively removing particles deposited onto the surface of a printing material on which printing is to be performed. SOLUTION: A nozzle 3 for oscillating printing materials 12 by providing an air flow from a fan 2 to a storage box 4 is disposed in the open side of the storage box 4 storing the printing materials 12. The storage box 4 and the nozzle 3 are movable, so that the relative positions of the storage box 4 and the nozzle 3 can be changed. By use of this device, the printing materials 12 are oscillated, thereby removing particles deposited onto the surfaces of the printing materials 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
