The clip is used for joining an insulating mat or other cover to components of the body of a vehicle. The special tool can be used for the tightening or removal of clips when they are no longer required. A semi-circular blade (2) is joined to a handle (1) of a common design with a small extension exceeding from the straight edge of the blade (2). In a second version a handle (1) is positioned transversally on top of the blade (2), its outer ends exceeding the lateral edges of the blade (2).
