A wheel unit has a wheel disc (2) and a brake disc (3) on either side of it. It also has spring elements for torsion-elastic bearing of the brake discs on the wheel disc. One of the elements is an elastomer spring (10), e.g. a thrust spring. The brake discs are rigidly fastened to each other via connection parts, which pass through an aperture (15) in the wheel disc. The parts are a spacer sleeve (12) and a screw connector (14) passing through it. A second spring element is an all-metal spring pad.
