DATA RECORDING METHOD FOR OPTICAL RECORDING DISK, AND DATA RECORDING APPARATUS FOR OPTICAL RECORDING DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording method for an optical recording disk by which jitter of a reproduced signal can be reduced largely even when data is recorded at low recording linear velocity in a recording layer of the optical recording disk designed so that it is suitable for recording data with high recording linear velocity.

SOLUTION: The method is provided for storing data into the optical recording disk by irradiating a recording layer 5 of an optical recording disk 1 with a laser beam of which the power is modulated conforming to a pulse train pattern including at least a recording pulse having a level of recording power Pw and a base pulse having a level of base power Pb and forming at least one recording mark in the recording layer 5. This method is characterized in that a unit pulse train pattern for forming one recording mark includes the base pulse of which the pulse width Tc1 is determined after an end recording pulse in accordance with pulse width Tlast of the recording pulse included in the end of the unit pulse train.
