<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple evaluation method of an optical information medium by which the quality of the surface of the optical information medium is quantitatively determined with good reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: In the evaluation method of the optical information medium which has at least an information recording layer 7 on a substrate 2 and a light transmission layer 8 on the information recording layer 7 and wherein the light transmission layer 8 is located on the recording and/or reproducing beam incident side, the quality of the surface of the optical information medium is determined by measuring the contact angle of liquid having 17.0 to 22.5 (J/cm<SP>3</SP>)<SP>0.5</SP>solubility parameter at 25°C to the surface of the light transmission layer 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
