APPARATUS FOR DETECTING FAULT IN COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a fault caused in a communication network at a low cost in the earlier stage of the fault whose influence is relatively small.

SOLUTION: A fault detector 201 acquires traffic flow information representing received traffic and transmission traffic in each interface of each monitor object device from each monitor object device arranged in the communication network. Then, the detector 201 calculates abnormal traffic flow among a plurality of traffic flows inside the monitor object device and discriminates whether a network fault takes place by using the obtained flow.
