PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a description method and processing method of a data structure, which enables every device to present the content of data to a user as much as possible.

SOLUTION: The data processing method comprises analysis step of analyzing a structured document having first data described in a first markup language and second data for presenting the content corresponding to the first data, which are described in a second markup language; and processing step of executing, when it is determined in determination step that a part described in the first markup language of the analyzed structure document data cannot be understood, the processing of the data based on a part described in the second markup language.
