PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan motor which has long life and high performance by suppressing a temperature rise of a coil section. SOLUTION: An air vent 33, which lets air flow in a cup-shaped member 9, is made at the bottom wall 9b of the cup-shaped member 9 of a rotor 6. Ribs 37 for directional adjustment, which are arranged apart in the circumference and extend each in diametrical direction, are provided to turn the air having flown out of the outlet 33b of the air vent 33 toward the coil part 3, are provided integrally at the inner face of the bottom wall 9. A plurality of ribs 39 for agitation, which agitate the air within the cup-shaped member 9, are provided, in addition to the ribs 37 for directional adjustment, at the inner face of the bottom wall 9.
